About

I’m Maggie Bolton, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner serving young adults and adults in Seattle and across Washington State, both in person and online.

I began my career in midwifery, where I supported women and families through life’s most profound transitions. That work taught me that healing is not only an individual journey—it is also a collective, cultural, and historical process. The stories we carry are shaped not only by our biology, but by our communities, identities, and the generations who came before us.

As both a psychiatric nurse practitioner and a midwife, I bring a perspective that bridges mental health and women’s health in a unique way. My background allows me to approach care through a holistic lens, acknowledging the profound connections between hormones, life transitions, and stress.

In my practice, I prescribe medications to help alleviate your suffering when appropriate and safe.  These can often work effectively. However, I never solely rely on psychiatric medications. I am just as likely to use other treatment modalities, such as brief therapy, sleep hygiene and movement to alleviate symptoms. If your therapy needs are greater than what I can provide, I can provide referrals to appropriate therapists.

“Maggie is a deeply compassionate and attentive listener. She cared for me through pregnancy, miscarriage, and postpartum, and I consistently felt seen and supported—both during moments of joy and in the most difficult times. She has a rare ability to clearly convey medical information while truly holding space for her patients. Maggie is exceptional.” -J.H.
